Description

More and more exciting research is being produced by scholars of political theory and related fields, such as political science, history, and political philosophy, exploring the contributions of women to the history of political thought. The aim of this research network, Women in the History of Political Thought (WHPT), is to bring these scholars together in order to foster new intersections and to inspire future research. This is a 2-day workshop (May 14-15) on Women Across Traditions in Political Thought at the University of Toronto. The full program and registration details are available here.

This network is founded by Torrey Shanks, Mary Jo MacDonald, and Geertje Bol. These events have been generously funded by Social Science and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC), the Preferential Partnership grant from Ghent University, the University of Toronto Scarborough Campus, and the Gender in Renaissance and Early Modern Philosophy project at the University of Jyväskylä.
