Biography
Olga Talal is an Associate at the Centre for European and Eurasian Studies (CEES) at the Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy, University of Toronto. Talal’s research and teaching interests are at the intersection of comparative politics and public policy, focusing on nationalism and ethnic politics, and regional expertise in Central and Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and Israel. Talal’s research has been published in Comparative Political Studies, Politics & Policy, and Nationalities Papers. She is the co-investigator (with Csergo, Queen’s) of a SSHRC-funded project, "Major Crises and Minority Life in Majoritarian States" (2025-2030).
